The Church plays a crucial role in how American politics shape this nation. The Bride of Christ has a crucial say in how the United States will continue to hold itself on the world stage. Politics isn’t just the subject of nations, but of cities, towns, and neighborhoods too. We often hear the secular world talk about the need for the separation of church and state, not understanding that Thomas Jefferson wrote this famous line to say that the state needs to stay out of the affairs of the church. Jefferson was not a godly man, but understood how imperative the church is to a healthy community.
Kids Ministry: My Journey of Becoming
I can honestly say kids ministry is a place where I learned how to belong and be a part of the family of God and it helped me to understand the full revelation of God’s love that can only be accessed through serving others, because love needs an outlet. Love in action is worship multiplied. It was a place where I learned how to become.
Hey, Mountain of Infertility

So they’ve stood at the base of your mountain, felt the sting of their tears against their face, suffocated by hopelessness, heads tilted back as they stare up at your peak - the holy ground they’ve been told they’ll never be able to reach.
The Trap of Offense
Did you know that the word “offense” in the Greek is skándalon? Skándalon is the trigger of a trap (the mechanism closing a trap down on the unsuspecting victim). Offense may look like a tasty morsel in the moment. Maybe someone said something truly hurtful, something you’ve worked hard on was under appreciated or you were ignored when you needed help.
You are Worthy
Un-worthiness is perhaps the single most destructive plague in the church today. It strips us of our identity, destroys our confidence and keeps us silent in the shadows.
